IVANA AYLWIN  |  PSYCHOTHERAPY  |  BOSTON, MA

MY PRACTICE

My approach to psychotherapy is professional and confidential, individualized and offers effective treatment for a wide range of psychological and emotional issues. If you're struggling with life's challenges, therapy can be an incredibly helpful tool to help you work through those difficulties. I have seen firsthand how therapy can transform people's lives.

We all need a safe place to discuss any variety of issues—a place where you can explore emotions and experiences without any judgement. Sometimes, talking to a friend or family member about your problems can be challenging, as they may not know how to help you or may be too close to your situation. As your Therapist, I will provide empathy and understanding, as well as strategies to help navigate your personal feelings.

ABOUT ME

My name is Ivana Aylwin and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) registered to practice in the State of Massachusetts.  My practice is informed by almost two decades of clinical exposure in both medical and psychiatric settings.

I believe in the power of therapy, which is most effective with a strong therapeutic relationship. I am an empathic therapist who provides a safe place to patients to express their thoughts and feelings. I use a highly eclectic approach to therapy, with an emphasis on cognitive, psychodynamic, person centered and culturally sensitive process. Although, my work with patients is highly collaborative and interactive I am not a passive soundboard. It is my passion to collaborate with adults of all ages, regardless of racial or cultural identity, gender, sexual orientation, or other spiritual beliefs or life experience. I believe everyone needs help sometimes, and everyone deserves help and understanding always.

I recognize that emotional work can be one of the most difficult challenges in a person's lifetime but also that we can successively improve emotional strength if we work together.

I am  highly accessible and responsive to email (preferred) and telephone contact during and after practice hours. Every effort is made to accommodate patients’ schedules for appointments. I offer early mornings, afternoon, and evening appointments.
